Contract Between Follower and Expert

This Contract sets out the terms that apply to interactions between a Follower and an Expert on ClapCall. It covers free follows, private messaging, paid calls, and gifts. It is formed automatically when a Follower follows an Expert or initiates any transaction. ClapCall is not a party to this Contract — ClapCall processes payments and provides the platform infrastructure but is not responsible for the obligations of either party.

1. Free Follows

• Following an Expert is always free. There are no paid follow or subscription tiers.
• When you follow, you gain the ability to send private messages to that Expert.
• Follows never expire — they continue until you unfollow or one party's account is closed.
• The Expert can see who follows their profile.

2. Private Messaging

Followers may send private messages to Experts they follow, for free. Both parties must communicate lawfully and respectfully. Neither party may use messages to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse the other party.
• Arrange any payment or service outside the ClapCall platform.
• Solicit any illegal activity.

All private messages are end-to-end encrypted. Neither party may share message content with any third party without the other's consent.

3. Calls

Billing

Experts set their own per-minute call rate ($0.50–$199.00/min). Calls are billed from the Follower's ClapCall credit balance in real time, calculated to the second. The Follower is only charged for time actually connected. Either party can end the call at any time. If the Follower's credit balance reaches zero during a call, the call ends automatically.

Pre-Call Confirmation

Before every call, Followers are shown the Expert's rate per minute, their selected time limit, and the estimated total cost. By tapping to connect, the Follower consents to the charge for time used.

Conduct

Both Followers and Experts must behave respectfully. Experts must engage in good faith for the duration of the call. Followers must not solicit illegal activity or attempt to record the call.

Recording prohibited

Recording calls — by either party, by any means — is strictly prohibited. Violation results in immediate account termination.

Failed calls

If a call fails due to a verified technical fault on ClapCall's end, the Follower can request a credit refund by contacting support@clapcall.com within 48 hours. No credits are deducted for calls that do not connect.

4. Gifts

• Gifts are entirely voluntary and are not made in exchange for any content, call, or service.
• Followers choose any custom gift amount.
• Gifts are non-refundable once sent.
• An Expert has no obligation to acknowledge or provide anything in return.
• Sending a gift does not create any obligation or entitlement between the Follower and the Expert.

5. Follower Responsibilities

• Treat Experts with respect and courtesy at all times.
• Do not attempt to arrange any payment or service outside ClapCall.
• Do not harass, threaten, or stalk Experts through any platform feature.
• Do not submit false complaints or reverse gift payments in bad faith.
• Do not record calls or share private messages without the other party's consent.

6. Expert Responsibilities

• Ensure your profile accurately represents who you are and what you offer.
• Own or have the rights to all content you publish.
• Do not mislead Followers about the nature of your expertise or services.
• Do not solicit or accept payments from Followers outside the platform.
• Engage in good faith during calls and communicate respectfully.

7. Disputes and Refunds

Call charges and gifts are non-refundable except where a call fails due to a verified technical fault on ClapCall's end. If a Follower and Expert cannot resolve a dispute directly, either party may escalate to ClapCall through our Complaints Policy. ClapCall's decision is final within the platform process. Followers agree to contact ClapCall before initiating a chargeback.

8. Blocking and Account Closure

Experts can block any Follower at any time without notice. If an Expert closes their account, all follower relationships end and no refund is due as following is free.

9. Governing Law

This Contract is governed by the laws of Wyoming, United States. Disputes are subject to the arbitration provisions in ClapCall's Terms of Service. EU and UK users retain their statutory consumer rights.
